FedEx Express – Redefining Logistics in a Growing Market
Insight
FedEx Express has been facilitating trade in Saudi Arabia since 1994, offering international solutions and connectivity through local service providers, most recently through SAB Express. The company will continue to work closely with SAB Express to provide pickup, delivery, and customs clearance services across the country.
The new investment is to reaffirm FedEx’s commitment to Saudi Arabia’s non-oil economic growth, in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals, and the ‘National Industrial Development and Logistics Program’ which seeks to increase non-oil exports to more than SAR 1trn ($266bn).
W7Worldwide needed to achieve maximum impact and connect the company with the right journalists and media outlets to learn about the important announcement of FedEx’s significant investment and expansion in KSA as part of its business strategy in the country, the region and internationally.
Methodology
Given the significance of the announcement, W7Worldwide decided to organize a press conference event entitled the ‘FedEx Express Summit’. This was to connect journalists and media outlets most effectively with FedEx, enabling them to interact with the company and ask questions specific to their respective target audiences.
To attain maximum media attention and reach, the ‘FedEx Express Summit’ was held virtually, bringing together regional audiences, experts, and influential leaders from SAB, FedEx, and CITC (Communications and Information Technology Commission).
To appeal to Saudi target audiences, we aligned FedEx Express corporate communications strategy with relevant Vision 2030 goals, such as empowering Saudi talent, and its collaborations with government entities such as CITC.
