Since its establishment in 1981, Softbank Group Corp.’s commitment to utilizing and innovating cutting-edge technologies and services coupled with bold execution has transformed the company into a visionary platformer.
SoftBank is also known for owning stakes in many technology, energy, and financial companies. In addition, it runs Vision Fund, the world’s largest technology-focused venture capital fund, with over $100 billion in capital.
In 2017, W7Worldwide agency was tasked to handle Softbank’s communications during their collaboration with the Saudi Public Investment Fund.
Using a holistic methodology, W7Worldwide team developed a powerful strategy aiming to establish a solid foundation for Softbank’s reputation in the Kingdom. The strategy also focused on showcasing the technological advancement offered as part of Saudi Vision 2030.
Methodology
Utilizing our experience handling the communications of several different government entities in different sectors for a number of key events, we immediately started building the key messages house brick by brick based on the unique elements of this visionary collaboration and created a winning content strategy that would be easy to resonate with the target audience.
We, in particular, focused on highlighting Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Tour across several countries with the objective to attract Foxxcon, Qualcomm, Oracle, Apple and other notable companies to invest in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
We also capitalized on clarifying how the visionary collaboration with Softbank is expected to contribute to the Vision 2030 and what it would mean to the future of the Kingdom.
